Recognition

Accreditation is a voluntary, private, non-governmental process that assesses the educational caliber of an institution or program through peer-review. It leads the charge in the United States as the key method of ensuring educational quality. Being accredited is a testament to the institution’s voluntary commitment to a comprehensive self-evaluation and peer evaluation that proves it adheres to accreditation standards. For accreditation, the institution has to demonstrate clearly that it has set educational objectives; offers structured, official learning experiences and services that empower students to achieve these stated objectives; and that learners and graduates have profited from the learning experiences offered.

Moreover, accreditation confirms the institution’s fiscal solidity, approved study programs, competent instructors, sufficient facilities and equipment, ethical recruitment and enrolment policies, its commitment to continuous enhancement via self-assessment and planning, and truthful program promotion.

Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education:

All Degree Programs offered by Northampton have gone through extensive review, assessment and approval in line with The Private Postsecondary and Education Act of 2009. The Bureau is the State Agency accountable for the approval and regulation of all private postsecondary degree-giving and vocational educational centers in the United States. Approval is a guarantee that an institution meets the minimum statuary standards in terms of integrity, fiscal stability and educational quality, including offering genuine instruction by competent faculty and suitable assessment of student’s accomplishment before, during, and after its program.

The University is also approved by the Department of Education, and the American Education Council.
